End of the week update

Hey! Just wanted to post some updates on what is due soon.

On Sunday our reflections for Chapter 2, Creating a Professional Learning Community, of Reinventing Project-Based Learning, p. 25 to 40 are due.

Our reflections should include:

  1. Discussion on the focus of Learning Communities.
  2. Discussion on the benefits of Learning Communities.
  3. Discussion on how Learning Communities affect teachers.
  4. Discussion on how Learning Communities affect students.
  5. Discussion on the components for shared vision in Learning Communities.
  6. Discussion on how concepts in this chapter relate to your topic/project.
Also due on Sunday are our Web Evaluations. This is an individual assignment but lets be sure to post the websites we chose on our blog so we do not use any of the same ones!  We have to use the "Intel Evaluating Internet Resources Questionnaire", which can be found in Module 3. We will both use this form to evaluate all three of the websites we found. The three evaluations need to be in one word document!

Corynne is now added as an author and administrator and Dr. Peterson is an author as well.

  1. Awesome, sounds like a plan. If I could like this post, I would! (:
Excited to see which websites you choose! Let's put them in the comments for this post.

  2. I think our websites we choose should be about the influential people of Kalamazoo, so I picked these three:
    Ronda Stryker - http://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2013/05/ronda_stryker_to_receive_ywca.html
    Dwight B. Waldo -

Revised Concept Map

Hey! I was thinking for the revised concept map we should add the data collection topics we have chosen for our lesson plans. We could give them the option of collecting data and creating a graph based on the different ethnic backgrounds of their chosen individuals or women vs men like we are doing. We could also give them the option of collecting data on the actual dates and years on the collaborative timeline of everyone's chosen individual. What do you think?
